Sand Road was recently converted from a gravel road from Milepost 2.53 to 6.35 using a penetration shot of asphalt oil. The road is seeing increases in commuter and delivery truck traffic between Moscow, ID and Pullman since being converted which is degrading the surfacing at a rapid rate. It is in need of an HMA overlay to offset the traffic increases. Sand Road will be resurfaced with an HMA overlay and minor safety improvements will be made where necessary. Work will include resurfacing and minor safety improvements.
