GIS Based Asset Management Software

GIS-Mo will replace CRAB's nearly fifteen-year-old, in-house developed, Mobility© software with a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software solution. GIS-Mo will provide the 39 Washington State counties an affordable, state-of-the-art, asset management system, which facilitates the preservation and enhancement of our county road transportation infrastructure.

GIS-Mo will promote collaboration and efficiency by incorporating geospatial data, supporting mobile devices, with or without, an internet connection, and integrating with systems at the local and state level. GIS-Mo is the next evolution of CRAB technology, assisting county road departments in providing safe and efficient movement of people and goods over county roads.

GIS-Mo Rollout

County users will begin using GIS-Mo for editing Road Log and other inventory data on or about January 1, 2021.

2020 Road Log Update

Each county shall be responsible for maintaining current information regarding its Road Log in Mobility and, no later than May 1, 2020, shall submit an updated Road Log for its complete road system with all data elements as of December 31, 2019.

2021 Road Log Update

Each county shall be responsible for maintaining current Road Log information in Mobility and, no later than May 1, 2021, shall submit an updated Road Log for its complete road system with all data elements as of December 31, 2020. Once a county submits their Road Log all control field updates will still be subjected to review, approval, and validation by the County Road Administration Board. Upon certification, CRAB staff will notify the Road Log Manager and issue GIS-Mo user credentials so that they can start making the necessary Road Log and other inventories changes in GIS-Mo.

2022 Road Log Update

Each county shall be responsible for maintaining current information regarding its Road Log in GIS-Mo and, no later than May 1, 2022, shall submit an updated Road Log for its complete road system with all data elements as of December 31, 2021.

GIS-Mo Training

GIS-Mo county user training began in November, 2019. Training priority went to each county's Road Log Manager and one power user chosen by the county (2 staff per county until all 39 counties have attended GIS-Mo training). Users are required to take a VUEWorks 101 prerequisite class online before attending. See training schedule on the training registration page or the Live Events Calendar in the Pinnacle Online Portal for additional in-person or virtual training events.
