Delphi is an important road connecting the western part of the County from Littlerock to Olympia.

It had several curves that needed straightening and/or flattening for safety, the road surface was deteriorated and needed replacing. It was narrow in places and trees were too close to the edge of the travel lanes.

Through the RAP funded project completed in 2019, the road was straightened and flattened. Trees were removed from along the roadway, increasing exposure to daylight, giving better sight distance and roadside safety. The road structure was rebuilt, extending its service life and improving ride. The shoulders were widened, and drainage was upgraded. The county has received a lot of positive comments from the people who live in the vicinity and depend on a well functioning Delphi Road.
