Ocean Beach Road is one of the two main routes, along with S.R. 109, the public uses to travel between the northern coast of Grays Harbor County and Hoquiam and Aberdeen.
The alignment in the project area consisted of a substandard horizontal alignment and a substandard intersection.
The project eliminated the substandard curve and intersection. The road was also widened to meet current standards.
