Columbia - Kellogg Hollow Road

This roadway is a major north/south and east/west connection farm to market roadway, wind farm access and recreational access. The existing roadway is narrow and exhibiting transverse, longitudinal and alligator cracking. Also, significant safety hazards exists such as steep slopes, culvert ends, roadside fixed objects, etc. Proposed improvements include widening to a 28ft finished roadway section (shoulder to shoulder), guardrail and/or slope flattening on unprotected steep slopes, culvert replacement with beveled end sections, mitigating roadside hazards within the clear zone, replacement of a small animal crossing structure, striping, signing, delineation, and intersection improvements. The intersection of Mead Road, within the project limits, will receive a flashing 36" stop sign as part of the project.
