Mission Creek Road is classified as a Rural Minor Collector and serves as both residential and agricultural access to Cashmere as well as recreational access to public lands and trails at the end of Mission Creek Road.

The existing road had deteriorating pavement and roadway base. Ditches were filled with sediment and needed to be reshaped to provide flow to adjacent culverts. Existing guardrail terminals did not meet current standards and several of the warning signs did not meet current county standards.

Construction included Full Depth Reclamation which stabilizes the road base by pulverizing the existing asphalt and base materials to a depth of 0.75’ and then mixes cement into the pulverized material to create a hardened concrete treated base. Immediately after completing the FDR, the surface was paved with 0.30’ of Hot Mix Asphalt to create a smooth, stable driving surface. Additionally, permitted driveway access points were paved with Hot Mix Asphalt to protect the paved shoulder edges of the roadway. Guardrail and signs were updated to meet current standards and adjacent ditches reshaped to provide adequate drainage.
