Thank you to those who joined us at the Road Design Conference! Here's how it went, in your words:
Conference attendees participated three days of educational speakers and learning about the latest resources and trends in the industry. Outside of sessions, attendees gathered and networked at multiple social events at the golf course, the resort, the bowling alley and informally at local businesses.
"Counties are unique compared to cities and the state and...often need to think outside of the box. This is where the conference is most effective: the networking and ability to talk at least once a year with others to see how they have handled similar situations from design to using the software, creating a better product for all, which is especially important for counties with smaller staffing. Focusing presentations on the uniqueness of what counties face helps all agencies in their abilities and efficiencies."
"The content, experience, and knowledge of the speakers were outstanding. And having the 'big guns' from Autodesk is definitely a bonus. All the speakers in general were very knowledgeable and presented their content clearly."
"I enjoyed the discussion of the Civil 3D tools, along with getting time to talk to peers around the state and what type of work they are doing."

"AutoCAD tips and tricks are extremely helpful [and] help us understand portions of the program that most people just 'limp' through without fully understanding the power and scope of the program. Someone with in depth knowledge showing tips and tricks is a great way to expand our knowledge and efficiency."
"This was my first year to attend the golf event, and I am wondering why I waited. The interaction of teambuilding, strategizing, and overall comradery is unmatched in any social function I have been a part of with fellow personnel...this was one of the best team building events I have participated in."
What's Next for the Road Design Conference?
The conference will be celebrating its 35th birthday next year!
We will be gathering at Campbell's Resort in Chelan on Wednesday, March 18th through Friday, March 20th for a full line up of educational speakers, industry trends and networking opportunities.
