Last year, the Washington State County Road Administration Board and executive leadership recognized the tremendous asset we have in our databases and identified story maps as an effective way to bring all of that data to life for our state decision-makers and residents. After nearly a year of research and efforts by our team, we are excited to share the results of those efforts!
Our first story map explores the humble roots of Washington State’s county roads and the origins of the County Road Administration Board. In addition to telling our story, it highlights five recent projects from our grant program and explores the current challenges faced by our roads.
