Lewis - Centralia Alpha

Centralia Alpha is a Major Collector, one of the county's longest roadways, and serves as an alternate to state highways for east/west travel between the Centralia/Chehalis and Onalaska areas. There is also a large recreational campground located within the limits of the proposed roadway project. Deficiencies include a section of the roadway that has an unstable slope, and roadway surface condition distresses that indicate degradation of the roadway base. Improvements include slope stabilization, widening, intersection improvements, a structural section consisting of base course, top course, and paved surfacing, safety improvements, and other related work.
