Bow Hill Road was originally constructed in 1916, and modified in 1930, 1963, and 1994. As a Rural Major Collector, the road serves as a direct connection between farms, residential housing, gravel pits, and Interstate-5.

Bow Hill Road was experiencing a slow slip of the road surface to the south. Additionally this portion of the road had substandard lane widths and had little to no shoulder for non-motorized transportation access.

The reconstructed roadway now contains twelve foot wide drive lanes and 6-9 foot variable shoulders. Some of the comments received are: "I drove by the site 2 weeks ago and am very pleased with how it turned out. It’s a great looking product!", "Hello, just wanted to say your crew did a really nice job...It looks awesome."
