COUNTY ENGINEERS’ TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS
Thursday
started with a great turnout of enthusiastic County Engineers and Staff members. And a very full
day lay ahead!
Jay
Weber, Executive Director, and a former County Commissioner, gave a number of presentations
during the course of the sessions.
Jay gave excellent overviews of the responsibilities of the County Engineer, and provided great insights
into the inner workings of county government as well. |

Walt Olsen, P.E., Deputy Director, provided a wealth of information
on legal responsibilities including both the RCW’s and WAC’s,
organizational and personnel issues, and a variety of other topics of
interest to the students. Walt’s County Engineering background was apparent to all. |
