Asset Management - Mobility

Mobility Status

CRAB has begun the process to replace its flagship product, Mobility©, with a commercial-off-the- shelf (COTS) enterprise asset management system. The major objectives of this project are to add geospatial data to the linear referencing system (LRS) used in Mobility©, add mobile data collection capabilities, and integrate efficiently with information systems outside of CRAB. The project codename is GIS-Mo. See GIS-Mo project details on the OCIO IT's Transparent: Project Dashboard.

Mobility© software is used by all 39 Washington State County Road Departments. Counties use Mobility as a road inventory and asset mangement tool. The counties' Road Log, Pavement Management, and Asset Inventory data is maintained in Mobility.

Mobility© software features:

  • Road Log Management
  • Asset Management
  • Pavement Management
  • Safety Management
  • Maintenance Management
  • Reporting Services

Mobility© is complimented by VisRate and SignRate software. These applications collect data in the field which is uploaded into the Mobility database maintained at CRAB.

VisRate is a pavement rating software used to collect pavement distress data along a roadway. Mobility's Pavement Management System (PMS) uses the uploaded VisRate data in its processes and analyses.

SignRate is used to collect sign data in the field. It allows users to take a laptop in the field and capture sign inventory and maintenance data.
