This roadway is a 40' wide rural major collector and is classified as a T2 Truck Route with an ADT of 8,807 vpd. The existing roadway has a PSC of 55 and is a good candidate for a 2R project. It is proposed to construct a grind and inlay of HMA over the total roadway and including a minimum of 1' of the shoulder. The Argonne Road/Bruce Road Corridor is a regionally significant arterial roadway from the urban area of the City of Spokane Valley to northern rural Spokane County, terminating in the Green Bluff Community. The corridor serves a multitude of users including agricultural, commercial, industrial, commuter and recreational. This is a paving preservation project on the rural section 1.68 miles north of the Argonne Road/Bigelow Gulch intersection and is 4' grind and inlay of the two 12' travel lanes and 1' of each shoulder. If funded, this project would complete an approximate 2.75 mile link of new "2R" roadway to Stoneman Road (MP 5.04) with a smooth and predictable roadway surface for all transportation users. Federal funding, STP (R), has been awarded for Argonne Road from MP 2.55 to MP 4.13 and construction of that project is expected to begin in 2019.
