Rocklyn Road - Current Conditions: The road surfacing is deteriorating rapidly. The asphalt shows major signs of age with broken shoulders, longitudinal and transverse cracking, alligator cracking and potholes. The proposed project section has been patched repeatedly. Rocklyn road is a farm to market route and preferred shipping route from local grain warehouses to grain terminals on the Columbia River. This route is used for both inbound and outbound truck shipments of farm commodities and supplies. It is classified as T-3 on the CFGS. Horizontal & vertical alignment meet minimum design standards. Improvements will consist of improving sub-grade and widening the roadway were necessary, upgrading drainage facilities signs and delineation and replacing existing surfacing material with crushed and asphaltic surfacing. This project will restore surfacing, improve the ride; increase safety; and ensure transportation system function and connectivity.
