SignRate is a software tool for collecting sign inventory and maintenance data in the field. After collecting your field data, you can upload your data directly into the Mobility database from within SignRate.

SignRate 2.0 includes

1. Previously unavailable features (sign coordinates, reference point form, etc.)
   
2. Track sign updates at a field level, not a record level.  This will help reduce inadvertent data overwrites when more than one user has updated the same sign record.
   
3. Mobility data uploads and downloads will now happen directly from SignRate.  No need to move files around from our web site, FTP site, e-mail, etc. to your computer.  Also, uploads happen instantly so no need to coordinate with CRAB staff.
   
4. Potential for significant speed improvements.  In part because of improvements made to the application and database, and in part  because of the availability to filter how much maintenance is downloaded from Mobility.  Currently we have a county with approximately one million maintenance records.  This large number of records has a significant impact on both the speed of downloading data and when opening and modifying sign records.  The new filter will allow users to download maintenance in a date range and potentially reduce the number of maintenance records downloaded.

Before You Begin

1. First consult with your Mobility administrator to make any desired changes to your sign maintenance settings. Mobility Administrators can now edit and create local maintenance codes, specify codes for the sign inventory, and link codes to a sign installation, removal, or inspection.
   
2. Make sure your sign lookup tables and maintenance Requested By section is up-to-date before you create the database to use with SignRate.
   
3. Review installation process.

SignRate Installation Process

1. Click the download link above and then click Save to save it to your computer.
   
2. Go to the Control Panel and remove any previous version of SignRate.
   
3. In control Panel: Check for the latest version of the Microsoft.NET Framework (version 4.0).
   
4. Run the dotNetFx40_Full_setup file if Microsoft.NET Framework (version 4.0) is not listed in the Control Panel.
   
5. Check to see if your machine is a x86 (32-bit machine) and install the SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi file.
6. Check to see if your machine is a x64 (64-bit machine) and install the SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi first and then install the SSCERuntime_x64-ENU.msi file.
7. Install the SignRate 2.0.1 installation file (SignRateInstall.msi) and follow the wizard.
   
8. Follow the instructions in SignRate 2.0.1 help to operate SignRate.
