Reports Designed In Mobility

Create report layouts with Mobility's Custom Report Designer and save them to your county folder. Report files that are created, saved, and loaded within Mobility have a .RPX file extension. These reports are saved to and loaded from your county folder on the FTP site.

Users can load report layouts (.RPX files) from any folder under the Mobility folder on the FTP site. When you load a report layout from a folder other than your county folder, the report will always display YOUR county data. This means that you can use report layouts created by other Mobility users. You can only save these reports to your county folder. Use these files at your own risk and review them for accuracy before using. See the FTP Site topic in Mobility Help for more information

Reports Exported from Mobility

Exported reports are reports that you choose to export to another file format from the Custom Report Designer's Report Preview screen. You can also export Mobility canned reports. For example, when you export a report to Microsoft Excel or to Adobe's PDF formats, the report is exported to your county folder on the FTP site.

Exported report files always display YOUR county data when opened. If you desire that other individuals do not view your exported report data, take the following steps:

  1. Copy the exported reports to your local computer and then open and review the reports for completeness and accuracy.
  2. Login and delete the files from your county folder on the FTP site.
  3. Do nothing if your are not concerned about others viewing your data.

FTP Site Report File Management Tips

County folders under Mobility have special permissions and size limits. Each county gets 20MB of space to store Mobility Reports in the county folder. Reports designed in Mobility have an .rpx file extension and take up little space. Exported reports like .xls and .pdf files take up more room. Users need to remove exported reports from the county folder periodically to stay within the 20 MB limit. See the Delete Report topic in Mobility Help for more information.
