2008 RDC Conference Summary

This year's theme: Designing for Society: Knowledge, Innovation, & Sustainability showcased many presentations on how to not only meet today's ever increasing standards but to advance county's thinking, bring back the originality and to promote sustainable use of resources within your county.

2008 Road Design Conference in Spokane

It was totally new, different, as well as all encompassing along with new and familiar faces sharing innovative information from a multitude of perspectives. The Road Design Conference primary objective is to provide technology know how and innovation on a variety of topics of interest to management, design, construction, CADD and support personnel.

“. . . I enjoyed it, got a lot out of it and it really is great to go to a conference fully confident that it will be well organized and have a really good schedule of speakers and presentations.”

This year's agenda included presentations by a variety of County & State government agencies including Clark, Spokane, Pierce, Cowlitz, King, and Snohomish Counties, WSDOT, TRAC, and CRAB along with a diverse group of vendors including; Autodesk, Carlson, Eagle Point, PacifiCAD and Softree that were on hand to make presentations.

Here was one of the comments made about this year's conference:‘ . . . I just wanted to complement you and thank you for the well organized and very valuable Road Design Conference you put on this month. I enjoyed it, got a lot out of it and it really is great to go to a conference like that fully confident that it will be well organized and have a really good schedule of speakers and presentations.”

Thanks to all that attended this year for not only making this one of most attended RDC's that we have put on in the last 19 year's but one of the most enjoyable ones meeting and reacquainting with each and every one of you!
