On Time Delayed
Island County Active RAP Projects Delivery Status

About this metric.

  • What is RAP? RAP is the Rural Arterial Program which provides funding to construct and improve county rural arterials and replacement bridges. RAP is funded by an allocation of 0.58 cents per gallon of the state motor vehicle fuel tax. Funds are awarded to counties at the beginning of each biennium through a regional apportionment and grant application process. Funding can also be awarded for emergency projects during the biennium.
  • Why is RAP important? RAP provides funding for county rural arterial roads statewide with funding available on a first-in basis which allows counties to develop projects that may require additional funding to complete.

What does the data show? Of 2 active RAP projects, 50% are on time and 50% are delayed.
