The Washington State County Road Administration Board prepares its annual report in December of each year. The report recaps the primary accomplishments of the Board and Staff for the calendar year, and presents data on county road revenues and expenditures, as well as summaries of road and bridge inventories. The report also highlights projects funded by CRAB's two grant programs: The Rural Arterial Program (RAP) and the County Arterial Preservation Program (CAPP).
Beginning in 2007, the report also contains detailed information on an important aspect of the county road systems in the thirty-nine counties. The first focus was on the County Freight and Goods System in 2007, which is a vital component of the state's overall transportation system. The 2008 Annual Report highlighted the county-operated ferry systems in Pierce, Skagit, Wahkiakum, and Whatcom counties.
